I see a strange resemblance in that bottom picture...

Tomorrow, as MJagr26 has pointed out, they are filming on Moreland Drive about 2 1/2 miles south. Good luck to anyone heading out and let us know how it is!

H2: The Plaza Theater

I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Plaza Theater but they do a show every Saturday called the Silver Scream Spook Show (it seems their website it not currently functioning). I am on the mailing list and this was the latest from them...

Happy St. Patrick's Day Friends of the Plaza!

I wanted to get this email out early this week in order to give you the opportunity to be involved in something really cool. Prof. Morte's even crazier alter ego Shane Morton and the rest of the Spook Show gang have been hired to work for the feature film HALLOWEEN 2 (H2) and are looking for men and women to be extras. (You must be over 18 as there will be NUDITY and GORE on set.) They we will be providing costumes and doing the make up, but are also looking for people with their own costumes of NON-COPYRIGHTED TYPES. They are also looking for just unique looking faces that do not need their own costume or people with tattoos, crazy hair, etc .

They need 250 - 300 people. This shoot is 2 nights. March 23- 24. $110 a day. Food will be provided. If you are interested, send a recent photos of you with and/or without costume, your phone number, height, clothing sizes as best you know them to: H2movieextras@gmail.com

The shoot is sure to be a lot fun and you can look forward to working with a really awesome group of people.

Leigh-Anne, I don't know what this does about the filming in Covington on the 24th?? I think these scenes are being done in Newborn.

And anyone who has NOT sent in pictures to be an extra DO IT NOW! Of course, I have not because I will be out of town ALL next week.

H2: Brandon

Thanks for the use of the pics!

H2: March 16th

Cold, rainy and dreary and those were the more interesting things I saw this evening. I started at the Conyers Street location. They had already completed shooting but I jumped out of the car and took a few pictures. This is the location where they shot the interior of Mya's apartment. I'm not sure why there is a large white 'X' on the front door.

Next I drove over to the Monticello Street location. I parked at the crew base and walked down to the set. There were a couple of other die-hard fans there along with me. I looked around for MJagr26 but I figured he had already taken off. There really wasn't much to see in the way of filming. I did run into a couple of people I had met on Friday night. I was going to take a couple of quick photos and head on home. It was at this point that I discovered that my camera had died an untimely death. Therefore, I have no pictures from Monticello Street but I did steal one of MJagr26's - along with his picture with Zombie!!!

Tomorrow, they will be filming in Decatur. I came across this article while I was looking through the AJC. I believe they will be in Buckhead later this week. I can't make it into Atlanta but if anyone else ventures that way be sure to take pictures!!

The 501st inthe Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Parade

Photobucket

It was cold and it was drizzly but the parade went on as scheduled. Actually, it didn't start raining until we did the group shots at the end of the parade. We had a great turn out of troopers. We had participants from the Georgia Garrison 501st, Rebel Legion and the Mid-South Garrison 501st.

We met up at Underground around 8:30. Everyone got into costume and we headed down to Marta at 10:30a. We were at the Marshalling area near the Civic Center by 11am. Since the parade didn't start until noon, we had some time to goof around. After the parade, most of the crew headed to Spaghetti Warehouse on Delk Rd. I was cold, wet and tired so I hitched a ride home with Jesse. Below are some of the photos from the day...

H2: The Rabbit in Red

Friday was the best 'spectator' day I've had since the 2 days filming in Covington back at the end of February.

Photobucket

I arrived in Farrar about 4pm. I parked at small store past the location and walked back down to the set.

I joined a couple of local teenagers watching the action from across the street and struck up a conversation with a Jasper County Sheriff's Deputy. One thing I have to say, every security person I have encountered on this film has been amazing nice. He told me the community had been in a complete uproar (especially the Pastor of the local church) about the signage on the side of the building.

He also told me Tyler Mane was supposed to be on set around 7p and that they were filming 3 murders. SCORE!!

I was making small talk with the locals when I saw this guy rounding the corner in front of the "Rabbit in Red" carrying a bag and some cokes. He stopped, looked over and motioned for me to come over. I motioned back to make sure he meant me. I walked over an lo and behold it Micheal (MJagr26). He had scored the perfect spectator spot at a flea market directly behind the Rabbit in Red. The flea market folks where great and let us hang out there the rest of the evening. Here are some of the GREAT folks I met...

We had the opportunity to watch them film 2 scenes with Ezra Buzzington as Ned Atkins the Beer Truck driver...

One of the COOLEST things that happened was the guy that has been doing all the 'behind the scenes' filming asked if he could come over and talk to us. Our answer? Of Course!!! It's a one-in-a-million chance that we will make the DVD extras but it was just too cool. The next awesome thing as seeing Tyler Mane. We had heard he drove himself to the set (opposed to taking one of the vans in with everyone else). We were standing around talking and one of the crew yells "Tyler's here!". We all look and there he is pulling into the set. Couldn't get a picture (well, I did but all you see is car).

Photobucket

After that, Micheal (and I tagged along) walked over to the gate that led to the 'star' trailers. We could see Tyler and Ezra walking around. We also saw someone in ghost makeup and a wig net. We had no idea who it was at the time. Later, learned it was Sheri Moon Zombie.

As the sun went down and the temperatures dropped, more spectators started to show up. I'm not sure what happened but by 8pm, the crew was clearing everyone from the area - No Spectators. Bummer. While I was disappointed that I didn't get to see Myers in action, it was my best 'stars' sighting.

I will snoop around the Covington film locations on Monday but they are all interior shots. It may end up being a bust to watch. We'll see.

H2: Friday the 13th

Photobucket

I know I put this in as a comment but I thought it would be better to post it.

I know they will be filming exteriors of the 'The Rabbit in Red Lounge' on Friday. I know it will be filmed at an area south-east of Covington. Anybody have any more or definite details?
